CNA stands for certified nursing assistant (CNA), sometimes called certified nurse aide, home health aide, or direct care worker. CNAs are always in demand, making for strong employment security and rising wages. They work in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and more. These healthcare professionals are needed 24 hours per day, which means CNAs can find work schedules that work for their personal lives. Most importantly, CNAs do important work to protect the health, safety, and happiness of others.
At Stroudsburg Institute, we have a six-week program that will prepare you to sit for the CNA certification exam. We conduct our programs after 5PM, Monday to Friday, so you can work while attending CNA school.
Planning multiple classes each year, we are the only institute in Monroe County PA fully dedicated to CNA training. Our proprietary curriculum prepares students well for entering a career in nursing and health care as a certified nursing assistant. Our director and primary instructor, Dr. Geraldine Anamege, DNP, AGNP, BSN, BA, RN brings more than 25 years of health care experience to the classroom and curriculum.
